Contracted on behalf of VT Caribbean, eConcepts were chosen to design and build an OsCommerce installation for the Dwellings Barbados website. The site followed the highly original Creative supplied with some interesting twists and features:-

• Fully automic product uploader from QuickBooks Excel listings
• Specials, New Arrivals, Gift Ideas, Best Buys

Exact match to Creative design

The supplied Creative, while very pretty, was very different to traditional OsCommerce layouts, as such, extensive work took place ensuring the layout was retained from the Creative. This meant utilising dynamic html menus, extensive css and a level of templating not normally associated with OsCommerce.

Fully automic product uploader from QuickBooks Excel listings

Over 1000 products needed to be updated at the click of a button. Uploaded from an Excel spreadsheet generated by the Quickbooks application. As such, a custom product uploader was designer that took into account categories, new products, product updates, product features, related products and product attributes, automatically inserting these into the database. In addition, custom routines were written to automatically pick up an images associated with each product.

Specials, New Arrivals, Gift Ideas, Best Buys

New areas and designation codes were created to allow for multiple types of listings - specials, specified new arrivals, gifts and recommended purchases can all be automatically highlighted and listed through the custom uploader.
